Drew Barrymore's older half-sister, Jessica Barrymore, was found dead in National City, California, early Tuesday morning, Yahoo confirmed. She was 47.
Jessica, who like Drew is the
daughter of the late John Drew Barrymore, and her famous half-sibling
weren't exactly close but that hardly means the Blended star isn't feeling the pangs of this tragedy.
"Although I only met her
briefly, I wish her and her loved ones as much peace as possible and I'm
so incredibly sorry for their loss," Drew, 39, said in a statement.
